The 2003 parade for Andover Days was a good time for the
club members who chose to participate. On Thursday evening, June 26,
nine people showed up at the home of Kurt & Carmen Kastner to assemble
the float. We used Don Kiphuth's 4-place trailer, and snowmobiles from
three club members (Kurt Kastner's Arctic Cat, John Maniak's Yamaha, and
Ron Herrmann's "Austin Powers Special"). |

Saturday, June 28, was the big day for the parade. The
guys headed over to the new Andover High School early, to line up and
put the finishing touches on the float. Club members posed with
the finished float.
(L-R: Kevin Roesner, Rick Buck, Roxanne Lavin, Gary Roesner, and Kurt
Kastner).
Starting at the High School was new this year, since
they've changed the route to Cross-town. But even though the route seemed
a little shorter this year (maybe just over a mile?), we ran out of our
30 lbs of candy before the end. There's some happy kids in Andover now,
and probably some worried dentists!
